Saturday

This is my last Saturday class. Happy and sad. I made some friends that I hope to keep in touch with. On to bigger things now. I hope that all my classmates have a wonderful summer and wish you all luck in your careers after your done college.

Thank you Prof Owens for the last 2 years of teaching. I had a difficult time getting started due to unemployment and class size. You were the only person to return my calls in reference to signing up for classes and you told me to just show up for your graphics one class. I was feeling discourage and thought maybe computer graphics wasn't for me after all, but I showed up and I'm glad I did. You switched some classes around for me and put me into web design classes which I loved and would have never even looked into had I had a different teacher. I know I have to work on my confidence in my work and hope to be very successful in my designing endeavor. Thank you again!!

Friday

Here we are at Friday. I am coming to the end of my college days. I'll say for now, because I dont know what the future will bring. I really enjoyed being in college. It was so different that high school. Made a lot of friends. Hopefully we will stay in touch. I hope finding a job will be easy.

This weekend I am finishing up with my final web page and I have to study for my final in my psych class.

Monday

Its Monday. The work day went pretty fast. I was training someone to process loans. Count down is on to graduation. 5 more classes!!! Cant wait, I have neglected my house so much since I have been working and going to school. Actually looking forward to spring cleaning.

What a beautiful day!!! I'm in class today, but Brian and I have a kid free weekend and we are going to dinner tonight. My boys went up to see their dad for the weekend and go paintballing. I got my cap and gown for graduation and I was so excited I didnt want to wait for graduation, so I put it on ( I hope thats not bad luck)

Havent heard from Ashley since Tues., But we are always thinking of her.

Ashley called last night

When I got home from school last night, Brian was on the phone with Ashley. He motioned to me to let me know she called him and that she was crying. He gave the phone to me and I asked what was going on. She said she was very sorry for hurting us and for what she put us through. She is thinking about coming home because she misses everyone. We are still hurt by how she chose to handle things, but I am glad she called. Thats a step in the right direction. She said she wants to be home for my graduation. I really hope she grew up a little from all this. She has a lot of thinking to do and some choices to make about her future. I just hope that one of those choices are to keep the lines of communication open.

Monday

Nice weekend. We went up to the mountains to get the camper ready for summer. Long day today. Seemed like I was the only loan processing assistant in today. There was so much work!! Now I'm in school and looking forward to being home.

They found Ashley!!

They found Ashley! She is in Iowa. Thats where the boyfriends mom lives. She is ok and safe. We spoke with her and she does not want to come home. This is tearing her dad apart. I know in time we will come to except it, but its hard enough when your kids leave home on good terms. She left because she couldnt stand the rules. She made poor judgment and a really bad decision and her whole family is torn up over this. We can only hope that she stays safe and she learns a valuable lesson on how important family is and she comes to realize how much her family loves her. I hope that no other parent has to feel the hurt and sense of loss that we are feeling right now. Hopefully one day she will understand, and hopefully one day she will come back.

Monday

Went up the mountains over the weekend to move the campers to their summer spot down by the water. We told Brian's dad that Ashley left for Tenn. It was upsetting. No news yet. THank you for all the prayers.

In class tonight

School today. Then we have to go up to the mountains to see Brian's dad for his birthday. We have to tell him Ashley is gone. She was the only grandchild he saw since the rest are down south with his daughter.

Still no word. Detectives are now handling everything. I hate not knowing anything

Friday

Its been 4 days since Ashley left. No one has heard anything. Not even her friends. We are all very worried. Brian and I filed a missing persons report yesterday. Now if they are stopped, they will run her id and know she is missing and detain her till Brian is notified. This is country wide.

No time for blogging yesterday, I forced myself to get on today. Not a good week, a lot of upset in my house and I dont know when it will settle down. Woke up yesterday to find my step daughter gone. She is 18, but the feeling of not knowing where your child is is the same. We do know the area she is in. Its Tenn. But we havent heard from her since Monday night. Her father and I are beside ourselves and feel helpless.

Didn't go to work today. I was up till 5am working on my website and still put another 4 hours into it today before class. I think it came out well. We'll see. Nice day today, I had all the windows open. Cant wait for a day of no school work so I can start spring cleaning

What happen to the warm weather?

Wow, the begining of the week was great! I promised I would not complain once the warm wather got here, but I think Mother Nature is teasing us. ITS COLD OUT THIS MORNING! Its 8am and I'm sitting in the kitchen with a blanket around me having coffee. I have class today till 3:30 then I have torush home and clean and figure out what food I'm making cause I'm havig company tonight. AND I have a 5page website due on Monday......................................Ugh, com'on May15th!

Today was a long day! Its probably because I was up until 2:30 doing homewwork for one of my classes, then I got up at 6 to start my work day and I had school till 8:30p. I love what I'm learning, but I cant wait for school to end so I can get some rest!

Monday

Mondays are so hard to get through, especially when its so beautiful outside! The only time I got to spend out in the sunshine was walking from work to my car and my car into class. Guess I'll take what I can. In class right now for web page. Working on my site thats due next week. We had to do a shoe site. I found some really freaky crazy shoes!! These shoes could never be worn on a daily basis, you'd break a leg!! I've named my site WTF.....Wacky, Tacky Footwear..........Thanks to Brian for the name, thats what he said when he saw the shoes. LOL

Happy Easter!!

Its Easter Sunday. 2 of my kids had to be in work by 5 so we ate an early dinner so the family could be together. It was a beautiful day outside, I sat on the back porch with a glass of wine and did homework. so glad the warm weather is coming!!

Its the weekend

What a beautiful day! Of course I spent it doing homework, but I had all the windows open. Brian had his Torino out today. Its a '73 Gran, its a really nice ride. I used to have a '71 Mustang mach1, which I miss a lot on these wonderful warm days. But I sold it a few years ago to pay the bills. maybe some day I'll get another, but I think I'll look for the '56 Buick special my dad used to have or the ford pickup I always wanted.

Thursday

Forgot to blog yesterday. My sister got back from her honeymoon and after work she came over and we went through wedding and honeymoon pictures. She had a great time and all the pictures came out nice. She didnt leave till late and I went to bed. Today was a slow day in work but of course the rest of the day went fast once I got home. Not much going on. Since the wedding is over, I can now concentrate on my school work.

Waiting

I was sitting in school waiting to see Prof Reeder. I tried to blog from my ipod, but it would only let me put in the title. Oh well. So today I had my graduation packet signed and I turned it into the Dean's office. I got to work late and left early for class. Its raining really bad out there, if its true that APril Showers bring May flowers, then we're in for some good gardening!

Monday

I spent the weekend working on my psych project. Not quiet done yet, but almost there. 2 of the girls who are in my group came over on sunday to work on putting the project together. Hopefully we have enough for us each to talk for 5 mins. AGGGHH I keep thinking I should have taking pottery or faux painting. lolHeck, Basket weaving would have been easier.

Anyway, my web design teacher cancelled class tonight. So I get to actually watch Dancing with the Stars. Although I'll miss the result show. But thats ok. Gonna go sit on the sofa and relax a bit tonight

Lots of homework this weekend

I have a project due for psych class. I am not scheduled to present mine until april 27th, but the teacher announced last Tue that all were due this week!! You could imagine everyones face. We were all like deer in the head lights. So I have a lot to do this weekend, there are 4 of us in a group, so i'm just doing a portion, but i am no where near ready. Wish me luck!

Yeah its the weekend

After a long week, its finally here, the weekend, a time to sleep in, sit in your pj's and have coffee. The past few weeks have been very crazy, Now that its done, I move on to the next thing which is my project for psych class and web page 2. I hope i get to spend sometime outside today, its beautiful!

Wednesday

Last night I had my psych class and found out that I have my major project due on MOnday! My group doesnt have to present it till 4/27, but he wants all done by the 31st! So needless to say, I have a lot of homework to do.

End of spring break

The wedding is done, My sister flew home today, I still feel terrible from being sick and I am back in school tonight. Spring break is over! It was not long enough for me. I had no time to sleep off this cold! I know, I'm whinning...........lol Hopefully by tomorrow i will be feeling more myself

Catch up

This week was a very busy week. This was actually my first time to get on line and blog. My sisters wedding was yesterday. She had a beautiful day and made a beautiful bride!! My sister from Wisconsin flew in to ssurprise her since my parents could not make the flight. Cheryl was very surprised. The 3 of us sat up and talked friday night and Sat morning we did the whole hair and makeup thing.I unfortunately came down with the flu or something on wednesday and am still sick, it was tough going through allt he wedding preparations and reception when all you want to do is go to bed, but my sister brough me some really good cold meds and it got me through the day.

It was a very nice day, the flowers all came out great, My kids looked so handsome in their suits and my daughter look beautiful as usual. More pics to follow.

Last night Brian and I went to our neighbors house (we're very good friends) We had a few drinks, played pictionary. We laughed so much! It was fun. Today I kind of bummed around. Did my Taguls and some new Wordles. The day went by too fast. Back to work tomorrow.

Busy week

My son turned 17 on the 6th and then he passed his driving test on the 9th. I had a web page for a restaurant due on Monday which I think I did ok on. My Psych test I took on Tues. I feel I did ok on, but then I thought I did well on the lat one and I didnt. Still getting things finalized for my sisters wedding. Its the 20th.

playing catch up

I was sick for 2 days, kind of fell behind on my blogging and second life. But I'm back. Hopefully I an catch up to everyone. Looks like there was a scavenger hunt, and everyone seems to be having fun.

My Birthday

No class tonight. Instead my boyfriend Brian and the kids took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday which was on monday the 1st. I had class mon and tue night so they only had a cake for me on monday. It was very nice.

We went to my favorite place, Don Pablo's. good mexican food! Then they took me to pick put my portfolio. It was a fun night, and really nice to have my family all together. Thats doesnt happen too often anymore.

School tonight.........again

I have my psych class tonight.I do like it, but it doesnt start till 8pm!! Thats cutting into my American Idol time! lol Thats ok, I'll watch the performances on the computer tomorrow.

Another long weekend

Well, my sisters shower went very well. Lots of good food and good friends. She did very well in the gift department. I had planned on everyone being gone by 7pm then I could sit down and get some homework done, but the last guest didnt leave until 8pm and then I found out I was the one driving my sister home!! I didnt get home till 9:30 and then sat and worked on my web site for mondays class till 3 am! Got up at 5:45 and went to work and right to school. I am beat! Good night, tomorrow comes way too early!

The Bridal Shower

I took the day off to get things done for Sunday, and I did get most things done. I put the party favors together. they're really cute. Their boxes shaped like pieces of cake and we filled them with m&m's and you set them up on a cake plate to resemble a cake. Here's a picture. Got some cleaning done and tomorrow after class I have to go food shopping, then Brian's building me a fire and I'm cooking and decorating.

My sisters wedding

My sister is getting married the end of March. I am helping her with her plans and making the bouquets and I am throwing her a shower this Sunday. I dont know how, but I have to clean, do homework, buy food, decorate do homework...Should be fun. I'm kind of glad I dont have school friday night cause I am taking friday off from work to finish my running around. Gonna be a long weekend..

A bit overwhelmed

Sunday finally here, I can sleep in and do nothing all day.........NOT. Sunday is my only day off from work and school, but I have to spend it doing homework. I never thought it would be this hard to balance work, school and home but it is! Today I am working on my 3 page website due tomorrow and doing laundry, and thats after making breakfast, cleaning up the dishes, feeding the cats and dogs, letting the dogs out and cleaning up after the one dog when he got sick! I also have reading to do for Tue night and I have to go out and get my portfolio for friday nights class and think of a design for my business card. Ontop of all of this I am hosting my sisters bridal shower on Sunday the 28th, which she knows about because people cant keep a secret. I still have to go food shopping for that, get a gift, I'm making the bouquets for her wedding and I still have to put hers together yet. She gets married the end of March. So, needless to say, I'm a bit overwhelmed with things.

Oh Com'on, you know it was funny!!!

My boyfriend Brian loves to sneak up on people and scare them. Something that drives me nuts when I am the target. But picture this, My son is in the kitchen eating a cookie. He just poured a glass of milk. Brian comes out of the powder room and see's my son at the counter with his back to Brian. Brian walks slowly up behind him, and just as he lifts the glass to take a drink, Brian pokes him in the back and yells "Rah!!" with that, my son jumps 10 feet into the air throwing the glass of ice cold milk right into his own face!!!!! He then throws the milk left in the glass acrossed the room at Brian. It was hysterical!!! Brian & I laughed for an 2 hours. Every time he would calm down, he would think about it and just laugh all over again. My son on the other hand didn't fin it as funny. Maybe a few years from now when he looks back on it he will laugh. But OMG, my sides were killing me from laughing! Do you have a funny story to tell? Please feel free to share. I have a million of them!

Who will be the next American Idol??

American Idol is the only show I like to watch, but unfortunately I have school from 8-10 on Tues nights and I have to miss that part of the show. I have some favorites. I like the waitress. I don't know their names yet, but she had a good voice as well as the blonde who kind of sings like Janis Joplin. DO NOT LIKE the rocker chick with the short hair, the mom. She is way too bossy. LOL What do you think, any one have a favorite?

this is my first time......

Never blogged before. So we'll see how this goes. I'm actually in class right now waiting for the teacher to start teaching (don't worry Prof Owens, its not your class lol) I was up all night trying to get my mini web site to do what it was suppose to do.....I was unsuccessful :( Any advise on the easiest way to use Dreamweaver would be very appreciated.
